I founded Project42, a collective of scientist where creativity meets reproducibility. Inspired by the number 42—the ultimate random seed and the parallel of Boston and Rome—, we’re creating a community where art and science are shared openly.
Project42 began with a few Harvard Data Science Initiative scholars jamming together. Now it’s grown to 10+ members, each contributing with music, video, or art. Our goal is to make this a lasting, inclusive project where everyone with passion can join.
So what’s next? We plan to organize (at least) two events per semester. Picture it: after-work gatherings where interdisciplinary scholars give 5-min talks on their latest work, with live music & art filling the spaces between ideas.
If you are around or you are just interested in taking part to this regardless of where you are located, reach out to me, the more the merrier!

Basketball

I am a former professional basketball player. As such, I am always down for a game. This is why I often gather scientists and staff members to spend some good time on a court. Many good scientific ideas came out of these sessions…

No one is left behind

I grew up in a fairly poor neighborhood in Napoli and I am the first graduate of my family (up to the three-hop neighborhood of my family tree!!!), thus I deeply appreciate the intrinsic value of education. For this reason, I spent more than 5 years in Quarticciolo, one of the poorest places in Rome, teaching, crying, and laughing together with all the kids of the neighborhood, surrounded by an amazing group of people fighting for the same goal. I would love to build or be part of something similar here in Boston, let me know if you can help!
